Fashion has aligned itself closer to ballet in the last few years than ever before. If you review some of the articles on this site you will find that roughly 25 years ago there was an explosion in dance schools and ballet training in the United States, Canada, the UK and Australia.
The hope was, that these dance students would become supporters of ballet. I believe that has happened. I also believe the unexpected and unintended consequence (in a very wonderful sense) has been the impact ballet has had on fashion!
